OSCEOLA COUNTY TOURISM ENHANCEMENT GRANTS PROGRAM

Osceola County Tourism Enhancement Grant Application are now Closed

Since 1988, it has been the policy of the Osceola County Board of Commissioners to use Tourist Development Tax Funds to support special events and projects that appeal to tourists.  The Board of County Commissioners has charged the Osceola County TDC to review and make recommendations on funding for special events and projects.

Those recommendations, if adopted, are included in the Kissimmee CVB’s annual operating budget.

All events or projects funded by Tourist Development Tax revenues should enhance Osceola County’s awareness and appeal to visitors, increase room nights and revenue for Osceola County and/or support the CVB/TDC mission to “Promote Tourism to Osceola County.”

Non-profit organizations headquartered in Osceola County for a minimum of two years (as of application deadline) or units of local government in Osceola County are eligible to apply for special event marketing and promotional funding assistance.

Organizations must also have a governing board, operate under a set of bylaws and submit IRS Form 990 to be considered for funding.  The IRS Form 990 is the "Return of Organization Exempt From Income Tax” Form that provides the IRS with annual financial information on non-profit organizations.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact Teresa Cole, CVB Support Coordinator at 407-742-8211 or tcole@visitkissimmee.com.
